If you are into railways you shouldn't miss the huge Harringworth viaduct. Quite whether they felt so positively towards it when it was built, it is extraordinary how much affection can be inspired by a vast piece of Victorian, brick built, industrial architecture. Will we feel the same way about wind farms? In my lifetime the lift testing tower in Northampton has gone from abhorrent carbuncle to loved and listed monument. Could the same happen to a building in Peterborough? On the latter point, I am joking; unless of course they change the law on Class A drugs.
